1. What SearchAZ does
SearchAZ is an online people-search tool. When you enter a name (optionally with a country and city), we query publicly available sources on the internet (social networks, dating platforms, people directories, news sites and other public web pages) and organize what we find into a report. We only use information that is already publicly accessible. We never access private accounts, bypass privacy settings or obtain data from non-public sources.
2. SearchAZ is not a consumer reporting agency
SearchAZ is not a consumer reporting agency under the U.S. Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) or any similar law, and our reports are not “consumer reports”. You may not use the Service or any information obtained from it to make decisions about a person’s eligibility for employment, housing or tenancy, credit, insurance, government benefits or licences, or for any other purpose that requires FCRA compliance. By using the Service you confirm that you will not use it for any such purpose.
3. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. To unlock a report you create an account with your email address; no password is required. You are responsible for keeping access to that email address secure and for all activity that happens under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. In particular, you must not:
- stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten or harm any person, or use the Service to locate someone who does not want to be found;
- use the Service for any purpose covered by the FCRA or similar laws (see section 2);
- use the Service to commit identity theft, fraud or any other crime;
- access the Service with bots, scrapers or other automated means, or attempt to circumvent rate limits or security measures;
- resell, redistribute or publish reports, or build a competing database from them;
- violate the privacy or intellectual-property rights of others or any applicable law.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules, without refund.
5. Subscriptions, billing and renewals
Full reports are available with a paid subscription (currently 1-month, 3-month and 6-month plans). Prices, currency and billing period are shown at checkout. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe; we do not store your full card details.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the regular price shown at checkout, until you cancel. Promotional prices (for example a discount on your first billing period) apply once and do not carry over to renewals. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard or the Stripe billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period and you keep access until then. Refunds are handled as described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
6. Search results and accuracy
Reports are generated automatically from public sources on a best-effort basis. Results may be incomplete, outdated or inaccurate, and may refer to a different person who shares the same or a similar name. We do not guarantee that any particular information will be found, and a report that finds little or nothing is still a completed search. You are responsible for independently verifying any information before relying on it.
7. Removal requests
If you appear in SearchAZ results and would like your information removed, or you want your account data deleted, follow the instructions on our Remove my data page. We honour valid requests within the time limits set by applicable law.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, software, text and branding, is owned by SearchAZ or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use the Service and the reports you unlock for your own lawful, non-commercial purposes.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SearchAZ and its officers, employees and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable consumer-protection law.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections 2, 6, 8, 9, 10 and 12 survive termination.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the country in which SearchAZ’s operating company is established, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence continue to apply. Before starting any formal proceedings, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally.
13. Changes to the Service or these Terms
We may change the Service or these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will post the updated Terms on this page and update the “Last updated” date, and where required we will notify you by email. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
